Are you put off by motorcycle communication systems so complex, only an MIT engineer could understand them? If all you want to do is listen to your favorite music or the voice commands of your GPS while you ride, and not spend a bundle to do it, the IMC Helmet Music Speaker Kit is your answer.
Designed for full-faced, flip-up, and open faced helmets, just pop the super-thin (6mm) soft, padded speakers into place and tuck the cord into your helmet lining. Then simply plug into your CD player, MP3 player, or other music device with the 3.5mm stereo plug and you're rocking.
Includes a coiled cord with waterproof USB type connector so you can unplug the connector when you are not listening. Sometimes simple is better! We urge you to please use caution and common sense when riding and listening to music.
2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty
All IMC Motorcom entertainment and communication systems are made for easy installation and operation. The speakers included in all of the kits are wafer thin 6mm Hi-Fi stereo. All of the connector cords are coiled and can stretch from 20 to 40 inches and utilize waterproof connectors. All kits are available for use in Full-faced, Flip-up, Open-faced, and Half helmets except the HS-200 Universal Helmet Music Kit which can not be used with Half helmets.
Kits for Full-face helmets include Velcro microphones, kits for Open-face and Flip-up helmets use boom microphones, and kits for Half-helmets use a wrap-around speaker with boom microphone headset that can also be used without a helmet, all of which are special low-noise dynamic microphones, which eliminate unwanted background noise. You will get many miles of enjoyment from your IMC Motorcom product.

I received the hs-200 and installed in my shoei-1000. I also had the same problem with the left speaker cutting out. I ordered 2 more from Whitehorse because I thought I caused installation problem and wanted to put 1 in my hc helmet. I installed second pair in my shoei taking extra care in installation. It failed the sameway as the first. I took the first pair that failed and found the problem is about 1 inch from the headset connection the left headset white wire is pinched/smashed inside the code. I'm in the middle of returning the 2nd set for a refund. If the last one does the samething Whitehorse needs to contact the manufacture of the speaker problem. Great sounding product went works.
EDITOR'S NOTE: Please note that the headsets are warranted for 2 years and sometimes a manufacturer has a problem with a particular production run and multiple defects can arise. In the case of IMC, we handle repairs/replacement in-house and can deal with problems efficiently.
Thanks for the review Ronald!

Update on prior review: About to return my second set of these and request a refund. Whitehorse has been great but this headset just doesn't seem to hold up. Neither pair made it more then 200 miles before starting break up and cut out as the wire blew in the wind. Too bad cause they sounded great while working.
Editor's Note: JW, we're sorry you've had trouble with the IMC HS200 helmet speakers. We are happy to refund your purchase price under our 30 day satisfaction guarantee. These speakers also carry a two year warranty from the factory.
Because we can't actually see your installation, we don't know why you've had two failures of the kit. We have been selling these speakers to legions of happy customers, including Fred Rau, since 2004. We have some sets in house, that have been in constant use since that time with no trouble. We can only guess that there may be a problem with the way you installed or used your HS200 kit. Regardless, we are pleased to refund your purchase.

Update since my last review... I've gone through two sets of these already in less then a month. The first pair worked for two days before starting to cut out and work intermitantly. Figured it was a faulty set and sent back for a replacement. The second pair didn't even make it one tank of gas before doing the same thing!
I'll be returning them requesting a refund. No problems with Whitehorse just this product is not designed to last despite its 2 year warranty.

Just installed a set of these iMC HS-200 speakers in my helmet and love them! So thin you don't even know they are there. Even better I didn't have to glue/tape them in! Each speaker is velcro clam shelled between the front and back pad, NOT sewn up inside. Since velcro clings to my helmet fabric I just used the front pad and velcroed the speaker in place. Make then easy to adjust and transfer to a new helmet.
Some reviews on other sites complained about volume but they must be using small AA players. Mine are connected to a Garmin nuvi750 charged by the bike's 12volt system and it's like putting your head in concert hall. Around town my mp3 level is at 40% or 50% and on the interstate 70% keeps me rockin' out no problem.

Overall I would rate my experience in purchasing the IMC helmet speakers and helmet quick release latch at (10). The ease of ordering and the quick delivery were top notch. Price for both products were reasonable. The ease of installation and final fit of the helmet speakers met every expectation. The heavy duty coiled wire allows for minimal sag yet allows all the length necessary to plug into a player tucked into your riding jacket. The only draw-back is the max volume isn't loud enough. Once the bike roars the music sounds like a whisper in the background. I suspect this is due to the power output of the MP-3 player I'm using, granted it's only one AAA battery driving it. Bottom line I believe it's a great set-up that will rock once driven by the right amp.

First let me say great customer service !
I purchased the IMC HS-200 helmet speaker kit last month from your store directly. I have had fitment issues with other types of speaker kits, and from the moment I placed these in my helmet ( full faced ) and I have had no problems at all!
The sound clarity is superb, the optional jack inputs make it real easy to switch between my mp3/phone/communication devices.
I only wish I had found these sooner! The product quality vs. price also made it easy to decide to try these out!

After two months of use, I liked mine so much I bought a second for my wife, and two as gifts for riding friends.
