The American Flag Cooling Neck Band delivers outstanding cooling performance in a lightweight, versatile product. To activate, simply soak it in cool water for 1 to 3 minutes, wring out excess water, and wear. Cooling times will vary but on a typical hot day it will help you keep cool for up to 8 to 12 hours. I bought two of them and rotated them on my ride to Sturgis this year. They worked well and kept me cool in temperatures up to 110 degrees. However, I've given it a below average rating because the red die in the design bled onto my collar and ruined one of my shirts. This was despite the fact that I followed the manufacturer's instructions to submerge it once in water and to allow it to dry once before use. It actually took 5 such submersions and drying cycles to stop the bleeding.
