Clement Salvadori is one of America's most beloved moto-journalists. He's been spinning yarns of his travels in the saddle for a whole lot of years. Read much of his very best writing in his new book 101 Road Tales. Keystone Motorcycle Press, BMW Owners' News, CMGOnline.com, and others give it two thumbs up. John Hermann, author of Motorcycle Journeys Through the Alps, said, "Nobody can make a story out of a sow's ear like Clem can. We can relate to all of them."

Motorcycle camping doesn't get much better. Imagine pulling a stainless steel tube, less than one inch in diameter, out of your saddlebags. In just a minute or two it expands into a sturdy grill ready to cook a tasty meal over a fire! Grill up yummy steaks, ribs, brats, or even your favorite road kill, wherever you happen to be! Grilliput is even better with the fabulous folding Fire Pit!

It's a blistering hot day. It would be way too hot to wear a jacket while riding, right? Wrong! Heat is never a good excuse to ride without full protective gear. With Firstgear's Rush Mesh Jackets for men and Contour Mesh Jackets for women, all riders can beat the heat. Wearing a quality mesh jacket provides protection from impact and abrasion, not to mention dehydration and UV exposure. Be cool, be smart. Don't ride hot.

You can buy a cheap rain suit that doesn't work on a bike at all and quickly falls apart. You can also buy some expensive rain suits with cool graphics and brand names that, oddly enough, don't work very well either! How about compact, high-performance motorcycle rain gear that lasts for years and is priced right? That's what all of us at Whitehorse Gear prefer. And that's why we own Firstgear Rainman and Tour Master Sentinel rain suits.

On a hot summer ride, you certainly don't need gloves to keep your hands warm. You do however need purpose-built summer motorcycle gloves for optimum control and protection. You'll ride better and be safer with proper summer gloves. Choose from the Tour Master Cruiser Gel, REV'IT Solar, or REV'IT R59 for adventure riders.

17th Annual Ride To Work Day July 16th 2008
According to the US Census Bureau and Department of Transportation, over eighty million cars and light trucks are used for daily commuting in the United States. In that mix are usually just 200,000 motorcycles and scooters. Each year on Ride to Work Day, a much larger portion of America's 8,000,000 cycles are used for commuting to demonstrate the social benefits of riding on two wheels. On July 16th, throw a leg over your favorite bike and ride to your job. It's the right thing to do! For more information visit www.ridetowork.org.
